Spirit Animal Totems
In many indigenous culture, they looked to Spirit animals for wisdom, guidance and protection on their spiritual journey.
Spirit animals may be an animal that we feel a very strongly connection to and have influenced us throughout our lives. However they may be the most unlikely.
Our Spirit animal can change throughout our lives, as we are growing, what will come will be exactly what is needed to help guide and protect us on our path at that time.
In Shamanic practices, the power animal is a spiritual guide, often found in the lower “non ordinary world”.
It’s traits usually represent for you what you may need or may be lacking that you should explore, learn or acquire.
Although you can find numerous spirit animal definitions and resources as to what each animal represents, it's best to trust your soul and seek answers within.
However they are general descriptions for most animals and that align with the personality, unique traits, characteristics and instincts of each animal.
For example, the owl is wise and nocturnal, easily flying through the night... this may mean that your awakening to spiritual wisdom on your journey and to trust when your going, to walk in faith not by sight. (Honestly I just made that up, but hopefully you get my point).
What your Spirit animal represents is what resonates with you! It’s truly personal and unique to each each and every person. It may be that your spirit animal may bring you something beyond what we even know of them to be here in this world. After all it is in the “non ordinary world” to which we seek them.
Most children, if you ask them, know their Spirit animal.

Power Animal
One can discover their Power animal through Shamanic Drum Journey, with intentions to call forth your spiritual animal. As much as we might be attracted to an animal here on earth, our Power animal maybe be a surprise. Discovering your Power animal can bring you self empowerment strength, guidance, spiritual wisdom, love and protection. More importantly, it will bring to you want you NEED. We have more than one spiritual animal however in many shamanic cultures they believe you to have only one Power animal.
